Parking at Cologne/Bonn Airport
Cologne/Bonn “Konrad Adenauer” (CGN) Airport is in the Rhein-Sieg district between Cologne and Bonn – each about 15 km from the city centre. Over 10 million passengers set off here for their holiday or business trip every year. This puts it in sixth place among German commercial airports. There are over 12,500 parking spaces available for comfortable arrival and departure with your vehicle. The parking space guidance system informs you about free spaces when you arrive and shows you the shortest route.

Book a parking space at Cologne/Bonn Airport before arrival
For the parking garages P1, P2, P3 and the P-Nord car park, CGN recommends making an online reservation at least 24 hours before parking. This way you can secure a parking space at a limited special rate and start your holiday or business trip stress-free. For express reservations made up to one hour before the start of parking, Cologne/Bonn Airport charges an express surcharge of €5. Simply select the booking period and the desired parking space and enter your license plate if you want the barrier to open automatically. This is how the booking works:

Cologne Airport: Long-term parking
If you arrive at Cologne/Bonn Airport by car for a holiday or business trip, parking garages P1,P2, P3 and the outdoor carpark P-Nord are suitable for you. These parking options are all close to Cologne/Bonn Airport Terminals. You can park particularly low-priced at Cologne/Bonn Airport in parking garage 3. Please note that the minimum parking period for online reservations for P2 and P-Nord is 24 hours and 48 hours for P3.
Parking Garage P1
Multi-storey car park P1 is ideally located for departures from Terminal 1 and just a 2-minute walk from Terminal 2. It comprises 1,120 parking spaces, most of which are covered.
The parking fee for drive-in customers is €7 per hour or part thereof, up to a maximum of €43 per day. The parking spaces in car park P1 can also be conveniently booked online, with one week’s parking available from just €119.
Parking Garage P2
It’s worth booking early: with the normal rate you pay €169 for a week, with a reservation in advance from €69 per week. Security parking costs €55 per day and €205 per week. The maximum entry height for cars in P2 is 1.95 metres.
Parking Garage P3
The P3 car park is particularly suitable for travellers who want to conserve their travel budget. You can reach Terminal 2 by foot after 350 metres. You park your vehicle covered and safely; the maximum entrance height here is also 1.95 metres. In the normal rate the parking fees in P3 are €109 per week, when booked online only from €39 per week.
Outdoor car park P-Nord
If your car exceeds the maximum height for vehicles in the parking garages, the P-Nord car park is best suited for long-term parking. You can reach Terminal 2 within 150 metres. For the first week, you pay €180 per week at the normal rate, and from €125 per week if you book in advance.
Short-term parking spaces at Cologne/Bonn Airport
The short-term parking zone is located directly in front of the terminals at Cologne/Bonn Airport. Free passages through the restricted area are reduced to one free entry per day to reduce the traffic in front of the terminals. Anyone who would like to pick up or drop off passengers can park for free for 10 minutes in this area of Cologne/Bonn Airport. Should your stay exceed this duration, fees of 8 euros for up to 15 minutes and 3 euros per additional 5 minutes will apply. The maximum parking time in the terminal driveway is one hour. As soon as you exceed the free parking period, parking your vehicle in one of the parking garages is significantly cheaper. For a short trip or a short business meeting, you can use the P1 car park directly at Terminal 1. Here you will pay €7 per hour and €43 per day.
If you want to park in car parks 1, 2 or 3 on a Sunday or public holiday, the special shopping rate for all entrances and exits between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. applies: only 3 euros.
Other parking options
Barrier-free parking
Barrier-free parking at Cologne/Bonn Airport: Parking spaces for people with a blue EU parking permit can be found in parking garage 1 (upper level), parking garage 2 (level 4 / sector A) and parking garage 3 (level 1 / sector A). If you have a blue EU parking permit or a severely disabled pass with the symbol aG, H, B or BI, you can park your vehicle free of charge for one hour in P2, P1K or P1A. After entry the ID must be presented either at the ticket office in P2 or at the information desk in Terminal 1.
E-Parking
There are 60 charging points in P1 (lower level) with up to 22 kW charging power and Type 2 sockets. Activation is possible via common charging cards, QR code, or the TankE app. There are no blocking fees for the first 24 hours, after which a fee of €12 per started 48 hours applies. Additional charging points with 3.7 kW can be found in P2 (level 6) and P3 (level 0), with no blocking fees. All parking is charged at the regular parking rate. Additionally, there are Tesla Supercharger fast-charging stations next to P3, offering up to 250 kW charging power, available for electric vehicles from all manufacturers.
FAQ about parking at Köln/Bonn Airport
In Parking garage 2, parking garage 3 and the P-Nord car park, you can leave your car safely at Cologne/Bonn Airport for a longer period. Parking fees are particularly low-priced in the P3 car park: you pay €36 per day for the first two days, €109 for a week and just €39 per week for the online rate. The distance to the terminal is 350 metres.
The P2 and P3 car parks as well as the P-Nord car park are located close to or a short distance (max. 350 metres) from Terminal 2. P1 car park, which is particularly suitable for short-term parking, is located directly at Terminal 1.
